Deficiency of adrenocorticotrophin may be a sign of secondary adrenal insufficiency (suppressed production of adrenocorticotrophin because of associate impairment of the endocrine gland or neural structure, cf. hypopituitarism) or tertiary adrenal insufficiency (disease of the neural structure, with a decrease within the unharness of {corticotropin|adrenocorticotropic internal secretion|adrenocorticotrophic hormone|ACTH|adrenocorticotropin|adrenocorticotrophin|corticotrophin|hormone|endocrine|internal secretion} emotional hormone (CRH)).
