Aerodynamics Open Access Journals

Aerodynamics  is that the study of how gases interact with moving bodies. Aerodynamics  comes into play within the study of flight and therefore the science of building and operating an aircraft, which is named aeronautics. Aeronautical engineers use the basics of aerodynamics to style aircraft that fly through the Earth's atmosphere. In order to beat drag forces, an aircraft must generate thrust. This is often accomplished with a motor-driven propeller or a reaction-propulsion engine. When the airplane is in level flight at a continuing speed, the force of the thrust is simply enough to counteract the aerodynamic drag. Moving air also can generate forces during a different direction from the flow. The force that keeps an airplane from falling is named lift. Lift is generated by an aircraft wing. The trail over a wing's curved top is longer than the trail along the flat bottom of the wing. This causes the air to maneuver faster over the highest than it does along rock bottom.
