Aspergillosis
Aspergillosis is an infection caused by Aspergillus, a standard mold (a sort of fungus) that lives indoors and outdoors. Most people inhale Aspergillus spores a day without getting sick. However, people with weakened immune systems or lung diseases are at a better risk of developing health problems thanks to Aspergillus. The types of health problems caused by Aspergillus include allergies , lung infections, and infections in other organs. Aspergillosis is an infection caused by a kind of mold (fungus). The mold that triggers the illnesses, aspergillus, is everywhere — indoors and outdoors. In some people, the spores trigger an allergic reaction. Other people develop mild to serious lung infections. The most serious sort of aspergillosis — invasive aspergillosis — occurs when the infection spreads to blood vessels and beyond.Depending on the sort of aspergillosis, treatment may involve observation, antifungal medications or, in rare cases, surgery. Allergic aspergillosis typically heals with treatment. You may get it again if you’re repeatedly exposed to the fungus. Recovering from invasive aspergillosis depends on your overall health and therefore the strength of your system.
