Human Papilloma Virus

An infection which causes warts in different parts of the body, depending on the strain. The most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) is human papillomavirus (HPV); Most people with HPV have no signs but may also harm others through sexual touch. Symptoms can include genital warts or underlying tissue. The virus has no cure and warts may go away on their own. Treatment is geared towards eliminating the warts. Boys and girls are advised to obtain a vaccine that eliminates the HPV strains most likely to cause genital warts and cervical cancer. Human papilloma virus ( HPV) is a viral infection that has gone through skin-to - skin contact between humans. There are over 100 types of HPV, in which about 40 are spread via sexual contact and may affect the genitals, mouth, or neck. The virus that causes HPV infection is transmitted by skin-to - skin touch. Most people become infected with genital HPV through direct sexual contact, including vaginal, anal , and oral sex. Because HPV is a skin-to - skin infection, there is no need for intercourse to occur for transmission. Most people have HPV and don't even know it, meaning you can still contract it even though your partner has no symptoms at all.
