Immunity has the ability to protect the body from diseases. This prevents the infection and fights against the diseases. Immunity is considered as a balanced state in the organism. The immune system is of various types such as innate immunity and adaptive immunity and also comprises specific and non-specific components. Innate immunity is the immunity that is present naturally in the body. Innate immunity is classified into specific innate immunity and non-specific innate immunity. Specific innate immunity has the ability to resist the activity of particular microorganisms. Non-innate immunity is known as the immunity provided to the body to fight against the disease. Adaptive immunity is the natural immunity present in humans. The immunity is gained from mothers' milk to the babies. Passive immunity is the immunity provided by the use of antibodies.
