An intensive care unit is also identified as an intensive treatment unit, intensive therapy unit, and critical care unit and is a distinct section of a hospital or health care capability that provides intensive treatment medication. The equipment’s and systems included in Intensive care units are mechanical ventilators, cardiac monitors, feeding tubes, nasogastric tubes, suction pumps, syringe pumps, drains, catheters and a widespread array of drugs to treat the primary conditions of hospitalization. The existing information proposes a relation between Intensive care units volumes and superiority of care for mechanically ventilated patients. Some hospitals have mounted teleconferencing arrangements that permits doctors and nurses to cooperate with the on-site staff and speak with patients.
