Medical Malpractice

 

Medical malpractice is defined as any act or omission by a physician during treatment of a patient that deviates from accepted norms of practice within the medical profession and causes an injury to the patient. Medical malpractice may be a specific subset of tort law that deals with professional negligence. We have built this page to assist connect the dots, pulling information together from advocates who are through harm and healthcare professionals who skills the system works. We understand browsing a patient injury are often a really challenging process to navigate. Our global network includes many independent regional and national organizations, and non-profits that provide resources and/or support to those that have experienced an injury thanks to a medical error. When harm occurs in healthcare, it's generally thanks to a breakdown within the process of delivering care to a private. If it's determined that the healthcare organization didn't have safe systems in situ to stop them from happening within the first place, then it's considered preventable.
