Before diagnosis, pathological pathways have already demonstrated permanent harm to maternal and fetal structures. Then, early molecular markers should be identified that identify mothers at risk before the onset of clinical symptoms allowing health care professionals to take preventive action and prevent the placenta from becoming hypoxic.
Preeclampsia is a dynamic multisystem condition involving miscommunication between mother and fetus; it has been suggested that this disease has three possible origins: fetal, maternal or a connection of both. Consequently , it is possible that a single biomarker can not identify at-risk women who are ill. A precise and early biomarker is essential for determining the most suitable treatment plan.
