Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy, an endodontic therapy that includes removing the infected pulp and cleaning the tooth. It is done primarily when pulp inflammation causes pain, and can spread to the adjacent tooth. A dental piece drills the infected tooth, and drains the infection. After that, the drilled cavity is filled with gutta-percha and crowning. Cancer is defined as the uncontrollable growth of cells that invade the surrounding tissue and cause damage. Oral cancer shows up in the mouth as a development or sore that does not go down. Gum cancer or oral cancer including lip cancer, tongue, cheeks, mouth floor, hard and soft palate, sinuses, and pharynx (throat) may be life-threatening if not early diagnosed and treated. Oral cancer accounts for nearly two percent of all cancers diagnosed in the United States annually. Root canal therapy is an often straightforward procedure for relieving dental pain and preserving teeth. Patients usually need a root canal when the roots of a tooth have an inflammation or infection. During root canal treatment, an endodontic specialist carefully removes the pulp inside the tooth, cleans, disinfects and shapes the root canals, and places a fillet inside the tooth.
