The ancient form of Medicine developed by Greeks in 460 BC is known as Unani Medicine. This is one of the oldest medicines in the world but still practiced in the parts of the world especially most practiced in India. With the fall of the Roman empire the usage of unani medicine got declined. Later it is re-emerged in Iran country. Then India introduced unani medicine in the 13th century through numerous Muslim invasions. The unani medicine is divided into two parts such as Theory and Practice and also there are four basic elements on which unani system of medicine depends. They are Fire, Air, water and earth. Despite this there are four kinds of humors and three kinds of forces such as blood, phlegm, yellow Bile, black bile and natural, vital and psychic forces respectively.
According to Unani practitioners, the disappointment of the Quwwat-e-Mudabbira-e-Badan, or the body's capability to sustain its own health, may lead to imbalance of the usual symmetry of the body's akhlat. Irregular akhlat are supposed to lead to compulsive vicissitudes in the matters at the affected site, generating the medical appearances of illness. The model assumes the occurrence of blood, phlegm, yellow bile and black bile in the human body. Each individual's exclusive mixture of these ingredients regulates his temperament.
