Ridge splitting is a technique-sensitive procedure in which alveolar expansion creates a self-space-making defect. This procedure may be performed with the use of a hand instrument, micro saw, or ultrasonic device. When any instrument is used for ridge expansion a longitudinal osteotomy takes place inducing greenstick fracture with lateral positioning of the buccal cortical plate which leads to the formation of a new implant bed. Other treatment approaches like GBR, and titanium mesh have more complications and drawbacks. Low morbidity and short treatment time are major advantages of ridge splitting. Unavoidable bone resorption occurs after tooth extraction, for which dental implants have been established. Alveolar ridge splitting might be considered a predictable approach for a high implant survival rate, adequate horizontal bone gain, and minimal intra and post-operative complications.

She has been invited as Keynote Speaker at various International Conferences. She has attended many conferences and workshops to date and presented various posters and papers at conferences. She is having two books and various national and international pubmed and Scopus publications. She has won the award for Excellence in Dental Implantology by Global Professional Awards 2022 and Emerging Implantologist of the Year by cynodent global healthcare, world Dental Excellence Awards 2023.
