Immediate loading and restoration post-extraction is a coherent technique showing high rate of success and significant advantages. Implant primary stability remains a challenge and key factor. In this presentation we will demonstrate how can this be achieved and that immediate implant osseointegration can be as, or more, successful than nonimmediate implantation during the same healing period.
Al-Hashemi holds two degrees, dental and medical. He has delivered many lectures to general dental and medical practitioners nationally and internationally. He actively contributes to teaching and publications. After qualifying in 1998, Al-Hashemi completed his dental training in general practice and implant placement before entering the NHS hospital service. He has worked in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery units across Ireland and the UK and currently works part-time at Mid Essex NHS trust. He was awarded the prestigious memberships from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Ireland, followed by a Fellowship in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland in 2005. He also holds a Diploma in Dental implant from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In 2009 he was awarded a medical degree from Barts and the London University to pursue a career in Maxillofacial Surgery. He is the founder of INB Association and holds regular meetings, seminars and is a key speaker at conferences. He is the owner of Mulberry Clinics, provider and performer of complex oral Surgery service in Essex. He accepts referrals from dental and medical practitioners, as well as mentoring professionals. He is a clinical mentor for the Diploma in Minor Oral Surgery for the Royal College of Surgeons of England where he teaches dentists surgical and dental implant procedures. His area of expertise is to carry out complex oral surgery and dental implant procedures, in particular, immediate loading from single units to full arches.
